Leading up to October 14, 2008, Psychic Blossom Goodchild and other "true believers" in contact with "aliens" were claiming that "The Galactic Federation of Light" had told them that they would make "first contact" with mankind on October 14th, 2008.
Supposedly the "aliens" were supposed to appear in a 2,000-mile long "Light Ship" that would appear in the skies above earth on October 14th and it was supposed to remain there for at least 3 days for all of humanity to see.

The following is a typical example of the kind of "messages" that these channelers were getting in the days leading up to Ocotober 14th, 2008:
"Dear Ones, you are so near to the final phases of Ascension that will cleanse the Earth. We of the Galactic Federation are charged with carrying out those tasks, and our craft are fully ready and equipped to move at a minutes notice.
