Leading up to October 14, 2008, Psychic Blossom Goodchild and other "true believers" in contact with "aliens" were claiming that "The Galactic Federation of Light" had told them that they would make "first contact" with mankind on October 14th, 2008.
Supposedly the "aliens" were supposed to appear in a 2,000-mile long "Light Ship" that would appear in the skies above earth on October 14th and it was supposed to remain there for at least 3 days for all of humanity to see.
There were even whole websites dedicated to this event. One of them can be found right here:
The following is a typical example of the kind of "messages" that these channelers were getting in the days leading up to Ocotober 14th, 2008:
"Dear Ones, you are so near to the final phases of Ascension that will cleanse the Earth. We of the Galactic Federation are charged with carrying out those tasks, and our craft are fully ready and equipped to move at a minutes notice. First however, the initial steps must be taken mainly by you to oust the last cabal that stands in the way of change. That task is progressing very well, and we have little doubt that success is very near. A few more weeks or even months are not important, as the stage must be set for our arrival in the manner we have requested. Certain changes have to be in place, so that as a population you have discerned our purpose and how we fit in. Financial problems are about to peak, and it is in this vital area that the new system must fully replace the old. There has to be a base from which we can work, and money matters are up front because of the unfair and unequal distribution of wealth. Political systems are also a priority, as it is vital that your representatives are honest and dedicated to the good of the people. A new Constitution must reflect the original concepts that made you the leaders of your destiny, and not those who have taken away your freedom.

There were even YouTube videos promoting the October 14th appearance:
These channelers were absolutely certain that the Galactic Federation of Light was going to make a grand appearance to mankind on that day.
So did these "aliens" give the channelers any clues to their agenda?
Yes, they did.
The following is a message that these "aliens" supposedly gave to one of their "channelers":
"The almighty bible isn't going to save you. The almighty god that these religions teach you exist isn't the power that's going to save you. The god is inside you. All God is, is a three letter word. You are your power, you are your savior. Research this information people. The real answers are out there. But it's up to you to find because only you can save you. How you want to live your life is entirely up to you. Do you want to live in a world without suffering, war or poverty, or do you wish to live in the shadows of the dark workers and continue living in fear without searching for life's true meaning or the true events of our history and of our planet? Really ponder this."
"The almighty Bible isn't going to save you"?
"You are your savior"?
Why in the world are these "aliens" so absolutely obsessed with spiritual matters?
In any event, the channelers had received numerous assurances that the October 14th event would take place.
But there was just one problem.
The Galactic Federation of Light did not show up on October 14th.
So what happened?
Were the channelers misled?
Were they just imagining things?
Was it all a hoax?
Were the "aliens" held back somehow?
The truth is that nobody knows for sure.
Some of the "true believers" tried to rationalize things and tried to claim that something actually happened. The following is one of the laughable pictures that starting making the rounds on the Internet. At the time, some actually claimed that the white blob was a "light ship" that appeared and hovered over the White House:
It is curious that nobody saw it hovering right over the White House, nobody sounded any alarms and the news was completely silent about this.
In fact, the white blob looks suspiciously like a fat ghost from an old Nintendo video game.
Other "true believers" offered other explanations. One of the leading "channelers" of "The Galactic Federation Of Light" named "Blossom Goodchild" gave this explanation:
She seemed pretty humiliated.
Perhaps many of these channelers were actually contacted by someone real.
But they had NO IDEA who they were or what they were messing with.
You see, the beings who are masquerading as "aliens" have no problem with lying whatsoever.
But someday when "aliens" do make open contact with humanity, characters such as this "Blossom Goodchild" will still open them with open arms.
What a mistake that will be.
