A spiralling blue light appeared in the skies above northern Norway that made headlines around the world and that left residents of the region absolutely stunned. Some are claiming that the blue light was the result of an embarrassing failed test launch of a new Russian missile. In fact it is true that a Bulava missile was test-fired from the Dmitry Donskoi submarine in the White Sea early on Wednesday. The missile reportedly failed during the third stage. In the trailer for the film, which is posted below, iconic Christian sites as the Sistine Chapel, Saint Peter’s Basilica, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro are portrayed as being dramatically destroyed once doomsday arrives. However, 2012 is not alone in this focus on the destruction of Christian symbols.
